Terex South Dakota, Inc. (Terex) is recalling certain 2019-2026 General 65, General 80, General 95, C4000, C5000, and C6000 digger utility trucks equipped with pole guides. An insufficient weld on the plate weldment may crack, causing the retaining pin to separate.

Consequence and remedy

Consequence

Without a retaining pin, the pole guide arm may fall, increasing the risk of injury to people around the truck.

Remedy

Owners will inspect the plate weldment for any cracks or abnormal welds. Dealers or owners will replace the plate weldment as necessary, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed June 2, 2026. Owners may contact Terex's customer service at 1-605-882-4000. Terex's number for this recall is SN737.

Terex South Dakota, Inc. (Terex) is recalling certain 2022 C4000, C5000, C6000, C7000, General, and Trans TL vehicles. A seam in the boom structure may have been improperly welded, causing the weld to crack.

Consequence and remedy

Consequence

A cracked weld may lead to the boom failing, increasing the risk of an injury.

Remedy

Dealers will replace or repair the boom, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed on February 8, 2023. Owners may contact Terex's customer service at 1-605-882-4000. Terex's number for this recall is SN715.

18V52000008/07/2018

Terex south Dakota, Inc. (Terex) is recalling certain 2015-2018 Terex C4000, C5000, C6000, and General digger derricks. The welds between the coupler and hex shaft may be undersized, causing them to fail and the auger to fall unexpectedly.

Consequence

If the auger falls, it can increase the risk of injury to the user or bystanders.

Remedy

Terex will notify owners, and dealers will either repair the weld or replace the affected component, free of charge. The recall began October 3, 2018. Owners may contact Terex customer service at 1-605-882-4000. Terex's number for this recall is SN665.

16V15400003/16/2016

Terex South Dakota, Inc. (Terex) is recalling certain model year 2015-2016 C5000, C6000, General 80, RMX, TM100, and TM125 aerial devices, and digger derrick lifts installed on trucks manufactured August 4, 2015, to February 16, 2016. The suspension circuit can inflate the suspension air bags on the affected vehicles if the Master/PTO switch or ignition is turned off in the cab while the boom is in the raised position. This can cause the frame to rise, lifting the outriggers from the ground.

Consequence

If the outrigger lifts off the ground, causing instability of the truck, it can increase the risk of injury to the operator.

Remedy

Terex will notify owners, and dealers will install a second outrigger enable relay, free of charge. The recall began on April 29, 2016. Owners may contact Terex customer service at 1-800-982-8975. Terex's number for this recall is SN636.
