Trailer hitches: Fifth wheel assembly01/29/198686V013000

CRACKS MAY DEVELOP IN THE WELDING OF THE STRUCTURAL SUPPORT AROUND THE FIFTH WHEEL KING PIN. CONSEQUENCE OF DEFECT: THE FIFTH WHEEL KING PIN COULD PULL OUT ALLOWING THE TRAILER TO BREAK LOOSE. THIS COULD RESULT IN A VEHICLE CRASH WITHOUT PRIOR WARNING.

Remedy

REWELD CRACKED AREAS AROUND THE KING PIN STRUCTURALS AND ADD SUPPORT BARS.

SYSTEM: KING PIN. VEHICLE DESCRIPTION: 65 CUBIC YARD CAPACITY SOLID WASTE TRANSFER TRAILERS WITHAN 18 INCH KING PIN SETTING.
